Oliver Norman Wareham

"Norm"

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather

A Life of Love and Family

Norm was remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His greatest joy was his lifelong love with Gill, whom he met as a teenager and shared nearly 70 years of marriage with.

Their bond was described as soulmates, and his legacy of love and family will live on through the generations.

Career and Achievements

A self-made man, Norm began as a plasterer in Wales before emigrating to Australia in 1964. He worked on major projects including the Sydney Opera House and later built Enware into a thriving international tapware business.

He was proudest of inventing the TouchTap, a groundbreaking product in commercial tapware. His success allowed him and Gill to retire early and enjoy life together.

Strength, Courage, and Adventure

Norm built his first home by hand in Wales and bravely moved his family across the world for a better life. He stayed active and curious, loving reading, writing, walking, and travelling.

With Gill, he visited 38 countries, carrying humour, kindness, and an adventurous spirit wherever he went.

Values and Wisdom

He lived with honesty, integrity, and care for others, especially children and animals. A true gentleman, he set an example of kindness, humour, and resilience for his family.

His memoir, Born Lucky, captured his gratitude for life.

"Every moment you live has just passed its use-by date"

"If there is a hard path and an easy one, the hard path is always the right one"

His Legacy Lives On

Norm's passing leaves an irreplaceable gap, but his family will carry forward his positivity, courage, and zest for life.

Thank you, Grandpa, for the love you gave so freely and the wisdom you shared.
We will carry you in our hearts forever.
